Procrastination!!!

Everyone has a capricious mood now and then. For a moment you are full of energy to do work but then you are gloomy for no apparent reason.
We all are awfully acquainted with the word 'Procrastination'. What it means is to delay or postpone the work you are supposed to do.
Now that you know about it, you could already list out the downsides of Procrastination. But what do we ought to do to riddle out this problem? Let me elucidate you about it...
1. Set yourself a goal.
If you are to complete your work by some particular day/time, set yourself a deadline a day prior to the initial one. Don't think that you have done that, make-believe that the goal you have set is the actual deadline for your work so that way you will make yourself complete the work on time. Did you trick your mind? or did you help yourself? I'll leave that for you to decide.
2. Say no to things you can't do.
Sometimes being selfish is the best gift for yourself. (Sometimes being the keyword) Nevertheless, we sometimes tend to take more work upon ourselves than we mean to, and it just cuts to us being really frustrated about having no time. When you have a lot of work already on your hands, just say no to the next thing coming towards you, or discard one of your works that is not as important. Let's take an example, suppose you are at a buffet and you already have your plate full, so instead of keeping on filling things you don't like, you just stop taking more food. Same way, say no to the work you don't feel like doing. Again, being a little selfish sometimes doesn't make you a bad person.
3. Make a list of things to do.
Listing things you are supposed to do can be a huge help for Procrastinators. When you list out those things, you get cleared of the things you are supposed to do. Even if you forget one of those things, the list that you've made will remind you what you forgot. I do make such a list at night for the following day. It comes out to be helpful as well as fun. Plus, the feeling that you've managed to complete your certain criteria of the day gives an immense pleasure.
4. Sort out your priorities.
We all have a habit to complete the easier/smaller tasks first and doing the main tasks at the LAST moment. The first thing you need to do after making a list of things to do is to decide what is the most important thing on your plate. Complete that first and then get on with the simpler tasks. This will help your main tasks getting completed faster and you won't have to fuss around for not completing your main tasks.
This is the most suggestive idea to overcome procrastination. Don't try to do the bigger things all at once. Rome wasn't built in a day. So try to break your work into smaller pieces and try to complete them one by one. Let's say you have to complete an assignment, which has 10 pages. Complete one page after the other. Think as if you are on your last page from the first one. This will trick you to complete it faster.
May save more nine.
Complete your work now,
This may be a sign!
It is of no use,
Nor any benefit,
To delay things,
Even by a little bit...

DeleteYour thought is so right. Bit it's a human tendency to believe tomorrow will be better than today. There is no right time and if it is then is Now. Everyday have become just like a race. There we actually leave important aspects of life behind. Thinking of future we actually do not enjoy our present. Our belief of better tomorrow keeps challenging our today's task.
