Priceless

*Daniel’s pov* I tried and tried to find something worthwhile in Rose’s cabin. I didn’t find anything that seemed out of work. I don’t know if I could ever call her Aubrey. She will always be Rose for me. Rose. Delicate, gentle, and strong. I needed to know what secrets she was hiding that was troubling her. I would not think twice before taking all those horrible things away from her at any cost and hiding her safe from the entire world. She deserves calm and peace. She deserves everything. Just as I get searching the last cupboard, the shrill ring of my phone alerts me. My stomach twists when I see it’s Sophie calling. I had this weird feeling nagging at me that I pushed down not so long ago. “Is everything okay?” are the words that drop out of my mouth just as I answer the call. “Dan- Daniel, um,” she takes a breath in before continuing, “um, I think you should come here-” I end the call before she says anything more. This can’t be good. The familiar feeling of p

Until...

Now the days seemed to go faster somehow. The workload had increased but his worries weren't getting any lower. Gerald had returned from his 'holiday', but Daniel thought that his little getaway was of no use. He still got lost in between meetings and sometimes he also ignored someone talking to him. But he never let his guard down, or let anyone know what troubled him. He was still the goofy person Daniel had met on his first day but nowadays something seemed off about him. Daniel also formed a brotherly bond with Vic, one he never had. Vic was a complicated person. He had that brotherly compassion and an 'I have to do everything I set my mind to' type personality. The only people in the company that saw Daniel as a normal person enough to get angry at him or show him his mistakes were Rose and Vic. Maybe even Sophie and Amelia, but Claire was having a tough job to not treat him as the son of 'The Ethan Richards'. It was three months since the big 'thin

A pure smile

He was stuck in a situation where he could not involve her but could not even tell her. He wanted to tell her, to warn her, but he just couldn't drag her in the mess. No, he had to do it by himself. "HEY! VIC!!" screamed Amelia so loud that brought Vic back to the present. "Huh? Yes, actually, um, uh.... well, um..." "Are you going to tell me why you are here or not?! You are my good friend, but I don't joke when I can call the security" she scoffed half-jokingly. "Oh, no. You wouldn't need to go there. Well, um, actually, YES! Iwasheretocheckhiscomputerforthedata!" he said without a breath and Amelia's expression told him that she didn't understand a word. So he repeated slowly," I was here to check his computer for the data. You know, with the whole 'thing' " he drew extra focus on the word thing. "Oh, alright. You continue with your work, I'll be heading out." Just as she stepped outside the

Smart Ways To Deal With Mean Comments 2!!!

Image
We all know how mean people can be and it's just so not nice. So I thought why not learn how to deal with them. Instead of clapping back at them why don't we understand why that person is so sad. They're sharing their hate means they've been hated by someone. Sometimes when we see things from another point of view, we see that it's the chaos that has created the illusion over a false truth. We blame mean people for the mean-ness but in reality, all of us are mean to someone, with or without intending to be so. We sometimes say things we don't mean, or things we don't want to, just because of some excuse. But we don't think how it may have a wrong effect on someone else. All of us were raised to be good people, but we face situations and things that change us. Let's assume a very nice person has faced a lot of mean people in their life. They will keep being nice to them for the next 10 times but the 11th time, they can't keep doing so. They are ta

Unusual

Few days had passed since that terrible day. Daniel felt that whatever happened that day was not normal, though his definition of normal was not normal too, he felt the occurrences to be too unusual to not be related. But what increased his curiosity was the fact that after a raid at the office, Gerald didn't even take a meeting. That reminded him of the night of the raid, while everyone was working, he saw him slip out of the office. He had told them that he needed some alone time to work, but Daniel found that a bit suspicious. Three days after the incident, Vic was back at the office. Daniel had talked with him once or twice and he found him to be quite a genuine person. He was supposed to check the database and see if there was any leaked information about the company. He was on leave so Claire thought he was unaware of the raid but when they started telling him about it, he did listen in interest but his face told off that he had not been surprised as if he knew what had happe
